Tomato Sambal
Indonesia is an agrarian country which is rich in
agricultural products. Besides chili, there are also fruits that can easily be found,
one of them is tomatoes. Indonesian people usually consume tomatoes to make
juice. But many also process the tomatoes into a favors and delicious sambal.
Below will be explained how to make tomato sauce/sambal easily and delicious.
Prepared ingredients:
12 pieces of chili, or you can adjust to your taste .
4 cloves of red onion.
1 clove of garlic.
1 fresh red tomato.
1 shrimp paste, or one sachet of shrimp paste.
1 tablespoon brown sugar.
Salt, you can adjust to your taste.
Little flavoring
Cooking oil for stiring/frying.
Steps:
After you prepare the ingredients above, then you are ready to process tomato sauce. Make sure the tomatoes you use are fresh tomatoes, not too young and not too old, so that all the nutrients contained in it is still well preserved.
Take the pan, heat the cooking oil.
After heating, first enter the onion, garlic, tomato, shrimp paste, and cayenne pepper. Fry all these ingredients until they are wilted or undercooked.
Blend all the stir-fried ingredients until they are completely smooth, add the brown sugar, salt and seasonings as you like, then mash or puree until completely smooth and all the ingredients are evenly mixed.
Tomato sambal is ready to serve.
You can also add the side dish like frying
fish complete with boiled vegetable and warm rice.
